The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce serves the community of Snohomish and its surrounding area as the advocate for business issues, economic concerns, and quality of life. The Chamber works both independently and as a partner with other groups and individuals to help realize the vision of the entire community by ensuring a prosperous, healthy economic and natural environment.
The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce serves the greater City of Snohomish. We are a member and self-supporting 501-c6 non-profit organization formed to serve and promote our members. Our Members benefit through the Chamber’s efforts to enhance economic vitality, stimulate business growth, create business and community development opportunities and provide a collective voice for our membership.
The Chamber is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected annually by the Membership to oversee the activities, programs, and committees and direct the duties of the Office Manager.
Who are our members?
The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce membership is primarily made up of local Snohomish retail, professional businesses, and non-profit governmental and service organizations. Neighboring communities businesses and community-involved individuals round out the membership.
What is a Chamber of Commerce?
A Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization that unites businesses and professional people in an effort to expand the economy of an area. It must be understood that a Chamber of Commerce is PEOPLE. There is a place in the Chamber for members to get involved and accomplish collectively what no one of them could do alone, thereby creating a pool of resources from which to draw ideas, energies, and finance. Today, Chambers of Commerce have become community organizations that recognize all the factors that affect their community and adjust their programs accordingly.
What a Chamber is not…
A Chamber of Commerce is not a department of the city, county, or state governments; a social, service, or charitable institution; a private advertising, publicity, or public relations agency.
